My name is Mikko, and I’m a food photographer based in New York City. I work with restaurants, cafés, chefs, and culinary brands to create a visual language that speaks to flavor.
My approach is rooted in attention to detail — light, texture, and mood are just as important as the dish itself. I aim to capture more than just food: I want to convey the character of a place and the story behind what’s being served.
Each shoot is a collaborative process — a dialogue between the brand, the space, and the viewer. My portfolio includes long-term partnerships as well as independent projects in food and visual culture.
